Hi Friends,

October is a busy month for the Trio and we hope our paths cross with yours! We offer three opportunities this month to hear the band in Albuquerque, and we thank Tony Mora and the Southwest Pickers for sponsoring our concert with the Covenant Concert Series on Wed. 10/4. Thanks to AMP Concerts for sponsoring a noontime show at the Tony Hillerman Library on Thurs. 10/5, and Ken Gilman for hosting a house concert on Thurs. 10/12.

We head up to Colorado with the Black Rose Acoustic Society Fri. 10/13, and afternoon house concerts in the south Denver area on Sat. 10/14 and Westcliffe on Sun. 10/15. On the way to our Texas shows, we’ll play the Lucky Bull in Carlsbad on Fri. 10/27 and then on to house concerts in San Antonio and Wheelock. See the calendar below for contact information and to make reservations. We can’t wait to see our good friends along the road – thanks to the BRAS, the Isaaks, the Taylors, Tracy and Mike, and the Rogers.

Desert Night Acoustic Music Camp is coming soon, and we have a full house this year. We’re excited and honored to welcome Alan Munde as our banjo instructor and provider of the word of the day. Thanks to our fine faculty (Tom Adler and Ezra Bussmann are returning) and all who have registered. See you Thurs. 10/5 at 6pm for dinner at the Black Range Lodge.

For our friends in Tucson, Bob Einweck, songwriter extraordinaire, will release his new CD Monsoonsat a show at the Frog and Firkin, 8pm, Fri. 10/20. The project was created in part in Steve’s recording studio, The Cave, and Chris is doing an opening set at the show.

Great news for all of us: Nate Lee’s new project Plays Well with Others is available at www.thenatelee.com. It’s as wonderful as we all expected, and your day will be all the better if you start it with “My Morning Coffee”, inspired by Bernie Digman and Milagro Coffee, brewed to perfection by Nate and Steve.

We’ve postponed our appearances in Houston and Kerrville, but stay tuned for updates. Each of us in the Trio are very grateful for all the ways that we live our lives disaster free, and for the health and happiness of our family members. Nothing can be taken for granted as we head down this Hard Road which is really a very, very Good Road. Your presence in our lives makes all the difference, and we thank you and MUSIC for that!

Ask us about Ellis and Pava mandolins. GHS strings Red-eye preamps, Calto cases and K and K pickups. We use them and love them.
