All three of us send our heartfelt wishes for safety and recovery to all who have been affected by the flooding in the Houston area. And now Irma is on her way. We’ll be thinking of all of you and hoping that music brings solace in these times. We’re hoping to make a trip to Houston in early November to lend a musical hand (actually 6 hands). If there’s a way we can help, please let us know.
It’s September – how did that happen? Steve and Tim will be at the Walnut Valley Festival the 13ththrough the 16th doing workshops and playing sets. There’s more info below. They’ll also be doing shows in Cincinnati, Charlottesville, Silver Springs and Virginia Beach – please tell your friends out east! They don’t want to miss an opportunity to hear these two.
Chris and Anne join forces with KC Groves and Ezra Bussmann for a couple of sets Sept. 23rd and 24th at Pickamania, newly relocated to our second home, the Black Range Lodge in Kingston, NM. See www.blackrangelodge.com for info. We’ll be pickin’ tunes, pickin’ apples and eatin’ pie.
Speaking of the Black Range Lodge, Desert Night Acoustic Music Camp is around the corner, Oct. 6-8 with dinner and jams Thurs. evening before camp starts. Thanks to all who have signed up for our 4th annual camp – some of you have been with us since the beginning! Please call Chris at 575-5751-5298 if you suddenly realize you’d like to join us. We are close to full, and can accommodate folks who’d like to bring a tent or RV. That last room just might be yours!
For those of you interested in private lessons, Anne (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Steve (email@example.com) offer instruction on Skype. Better acoustic playing through technology! An email to either of them will get you going.
We’re grateful for music in our lives, and we’re grateful for you!
