Holiday Greetings from The Hard Road Trio

Blessed holidays, Friends!

Another year has flown by and we look back in gratitude for the opportunity to make music together and to make music with and for you! This year saw some fine duo shows with Tim May and Steve AND the release of their latest CD, Murder of Crows. We presented our first Desert Night Acoustic Music Songwriter Camp (with another to follow May 5-7, 2017) and enjoyed a full to capacity DNA Music Camp in October. Thanks to all of you excellent folks who attended, and to Bill Evans, Ezra Bussmann, Tom Adler and Bob Hull who joined us on faculty. Steve returned to Kaufman Kamp and Colorado Roots camp this past summer and The Trio all represented at another memorable Camp Bluegrass.

The Trio had the pleasure of teaming up for shows with some super talented friends: Tucson fiddler extraordinaire Nick Coventry, “The King”, King Ibu, and a stellar line-up at our annual benefit for KRWG at the Rio Grande: Bill Evans, Nate Lee and Tim May. Thanks to all for the pleasure of your company! Visit us on Facebook to see some of Anne’s wonderful photos from camp and beyond.

For your listening pleasure and for gifts of the season, stop by www.hardroadtrio.com for Murder of Crows and the entire catalogue of Steve, Chris and Anne’s recordings. We also recommend the new Jim Hurst Trio CD, JHT1 with Nate Lee contributing his usual fantastic playing. Look for his solo project in 2017. JHT1 can be purchased at www.jimhurst.com. Contact Steve for the gift of lessons on Skype at desertnite@zianet.com.

Safe travels to all, and a wish that kindness and music reign during these times. Thanks to all of you who have hosted us in 2016, and to all of you who make music a priority, especially live music. May you all have a tuneful and prosperous 2017!
